High waisted denims

How do you define your own Signature style? I was grappling with and coming to terms with what looks best on me and I realise that life is too short and would be too boring to stick to the same old "safe" style. Just like how some people only take photos of their "beauty side". Be daring and explore.

But, I guess it is human nature to have an affinity or inclination towards a certain look. Other than just looking good in it, I guess it is the vibes you might want to portray be it towards yourself or others. For me, I love this look, its vintage meets modern. Vintage because the pleated high waist denim pants is a blast from the 80s. Instead of the usual pants material, it s in denim. Therefore, thats modern. As for the top, tie dye pattern is very hippy style from the 60s however, its material is chiffon slightly see-through and flowy! It makes  perfect logical sense to bring the two together as the pants is plain and brings out the pattern of the tie-dye top. Also, the cropped top is just about the right length for the high waist pants! Topped off with the black leather gladiator heels adds a more edgy feel to the outfit.

I like to keep the hair slick neat and simple makes the whole ensemble look "put together". As for what vibes this " vintage meets modern" look  gives me? I guess its.. Fashionable yet fun-loving? Well-heeled yet sweet? I can't really put a finger to it. I guess its what most people say"its complicated".

SUN DRESS

 DENIM DRESS

This ensemble - High waist denim pants which clings at the waist line. This design accentuates an hour glass figure! my love..

The cropped top is tie-dyed and the flare at the bottom adds to the illusion of hour-glass figure. It does not compete with the denim bottom but complements it!

Black gladiator heels complements this whole outfit as it adds a touch of style and create an illusion of elongating the legs.

I love sun dresses, they give me the feeling of first love and romance. I nearly always wear sun dresses for dates. Loud floral prints are potentially one of the worst fashion hazards. With the right combination however, can be a winner. I love this little sunny number with dark pink , yellow orange flowers and  white flowers mixed with green leaves against a blue background. The  design of the dress is the perfect canvas for the flowers it almost looks like an oil painting.. The robin blue ribbon nips in under the bust-line, the dress is complete!

I matched it with a flat yellow with orange undertones flower hair band. Wear it in a style such that it looks like the flower is insidiously donned at the edge of the hair line. *A tip from the make-up artiste, she had seen this being done on the TV program,"nu ren wo jiu da".

What I love about denim is that it s never outdated! Love the front zipper that goes all the way to the bottom.. gives the dress its flavour and character.
